Lost Keys, Sleep, & The Boogie Man

Tagged!

7 quirky habits about
Kelli BOoth:

Quirk #1: I have a knack for losing keys and cell phones.

Quirk #2: I am a total self talker!! I always have a running commentary in my head. This probably won't surprise some you, but I talk to myself, objects, animals, food, my dead grandma (I threw this in to keep those of you reading on your toes) frequently. Sometimes this is a fault, because it is hard to remember things like where you put the keys, if you are solving global warming in your head. Self-Talk is also frustrating when in mid conversation you have to stop and look for keys, or your phone. The worst part is when you do find your keys, you have forgotten what the two of you were talking about.

Quirk #3: I like to fall asleep w/ a pillow over my head. whether I am sleeping on my side or on my stomach (the only two ways I can sleep), I prefer a pillow. And I ALSO agree w/ Kelly #1, I don't like to breath other people's air.

Quirk #4: When I wake up from a really good dream, I try really hard to close my eyes and finish the good dream............you know the one where you landed a perfect ten in the Olympic gymnastic competition and the judges are about to award you w/..................then BAM! flash!..... there is a two year old crowding you out of your bed and he needs some milk AND your pillow (the pillow that was covering your head, the one that you neeeeed to get back to the Olympics). Well you get the picture.

Quirk #5: I have some major sleep issues. I usually wake during the night for extended periods of time, I am not sure what causes it? I read, now blog, clean, (I got my whole closet organized the other night) or get in the tub. Most of the time I am lucky enough to eventually fall back to sleep, sometimes not.

Quirk #6: Quirk #6 also goes along w/ quirk #2. Not only am a self- talker but, I am also a self-swearer. This quirk has come on late in life, but it is there none the less. I hope one day to repent and rid myself of this, but "a journey of a thousand miles begins w/ one step"(and it is hard to go far, when you can't find your keys!). Anyway, I frequently swear in my head, usually not out loud (at least not much), but if I give you a look like you are acting like a dumb A, and you are wondering if I am thinking that in my head. The look follows the thought, and you are a little late to the party. So catch up. Now please tell me where you hid my phone.

Quirk #7: I don't like to watch scary movies, even at Halloween time. I have a big enough imagination I don't need Hollywood to give me any other ideas of ways that the Boogie man can sneak into my house and take my keys..........oops did I say keys, I meant to say kids.

Meet our neighbors!!

Hey for those of you who live outside of our little Eden, I thought it might be fun for you to meet our neighbors!! Oh wait......Just one sec I have got to get some change for the Local quarter and Cans fundraiser

I thought it didn't start until December?? Oh well Those student body officers and Cheerleaders are just so cute!! I worry about these two though I think there is more going on between then, than just raising money. I have seen them together a lot lately, do you think I should let their parents know??? I have noticed that she shakes her poms poms more when he is around.
Since we are on the subject of High schoolers, let me introduce Sherese. She is just a bundle of fun and I hear her favorite class is home Economics. If you can get her, she also is a great babysitter. I have had a hard time getting her lately she has been studying for her graduate school entrance exams. I am pretty sure she is going into fashion design or was it cosmotology??? She also told me that she is a model.

Eden has its' own little rico-suavee. Whoever would have thought that shop glasses could be soooo mezmorizing. There is a rumor that when he is out in the sun these shop glasses adjust to the brightness, so they also work as sunglasses. The other day I saw him on this fancy boat wearing them, they are definately trend setters. And you thought all those boats on the dam were there for the tiger muskies didn't you.
Our neighbors to the southeast are young love birds, who I believe just attended a semiary dance. Her hobbies include her hair and sewing (she designed her own dress.......jacklyn smith watch out!! Karisa Hairess is knocking on your door). His hobbies are watching her hair and watching her sew. He also enjoys inhaling Aquanet.

The jock of the neighborhood, has really been working it out. Wash on, wash off, wash on, wash off.............How he scored this cute little pirate we don't know, but rumor has it she is his baby momma. I really think she keeps him around because he cleans!
Eden has definately changed, but we still have some rural areas thanks to the local farmers, Joe and Beth. They also run a little clinic where they concoct all sorts of natural remedies for our daily ails and ills. Zuccini, plaster anyone??

The local town mistress "Potiphers wife" Always seems to entrance Joseph the local quilt maker under her spell. I think he is posing as elvis so people don't recognize him in this picture w/ her. But he can't fool me I am as sharp as a tack.

It really wouldn't be fair to introduce the neighborhood if I didn't introduce, Janey Binladen. She is well.............How do I put it nicely.........she is easily provoked, often angry and usually is shouting bleep-bleeps at everyone. Janey believes the whole neighborhood is full of infadels, and she has never forgiven her dad for shipping her here to America w/ a fake, plastic gun to carry out her mission. What was his name again??? Don't be alarmed she is really a sweet girl under that beard.

Bob is the next neighbor I would like to introduce. Bob is great!! He really loves life. I know what you are thinking when you see this picture, BUt I think he keeps that rope handy in case he ever needs to jumprope sopontaeously, tow a car, lead a horse, rock climb or well you get the picture. Doesn't BOB just look like he has life all figured out??? I really like how his rope color coordinates w/ his tie. Rumor has it Janey Binladen picked it out. Go figure.

The couple that lives on this house on the hill. Well he is a music mogul, and she is kindof a witch.

And in every neighborhood you have a teeth specialist, Tommy runs the local dental lab(I hear he is really good at dentures). Judy specializes in skincare and in facial treatments, I've heard she is responsible for M. Jackson's skin, Tommy is also one of her best clients.

And last but not least we have Susie may and her son Jaz. She is a single mother trying to raise her son to someday be a mature, responsible, law abiding citizen who loves a good mullet.

Marathon Man and Super Blogger Woman

Last Saturday Chad ran in a very wet, cold and soggy St. George Marathon. He had it in his mind that if he got to the starting line first, he was going to win a cool door prize. Needless to say he had me drive him to the buses @3 a.m in the morning (the race didn't start until 6:45a.m), The good news is he did win two door prizes, (one was a garbage bag and the other one was some disposal gloves), the bad news is he had to wait in the cold and the wind for two and a half hours for the race to start. BUT, with a finishing time of 3:13 :24 he became a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and he said he enjoy the rain and loved the race. I have to admitt I got a little choked up when he came running by and looked over and waved and smiled, it was a great moment. And to top that story off Chad's running has inspired me to become Super Blogger Woman. I have added lots of blogs and no pressure for comments we are just going for a PR.........I am not looking for any medals, but please do check out our advertisement section and the posts about high fashion, casey jones, and look what the cat dragged in, they are the best!! I love you all and thanks for motivating me to keep blogging and to not give up on my dreams!

MOAB, UTAH

Pack creek ranch was our destination for the last weekend in September, it was the annual Booth reunion. We had a ball and we were sorry so many were unable to make the trip. Pack Creek ranch was like stepping back in time to the 1960's, dark wood panneling, bad lighting and cheap horse prints all added to the charm of this "vintage" ranch. The setting was beautiful, the Bros, played, biked, hiked, and then did it all over again, and again. It was the perfect family destination and definately a four star stop for charm!!

We spent a day in Arches Nat'l Park. The Bros loved our hike, there was so much for kids to explore, and the terrain was always changing. We hiked out to Double O arch, and the bonus is along the way you get to see lanscape arch, and the now fallen wall arch (it fell about a month ago), and lots of ther amazing wonders that fill the mind with many questions and ponderings of how this brilliant world was created!

The boy in the Jazz jersey is their cousin Eli. Tanner in this picture is probably trying to figure out how to base jump off this raised fin of sandstone. Look how cool the leaves were on our drive there!! They were spectacular, this was one of many pit stops along the way.

We went to Millcreek canyon up in the La Sals. It rained on us while we were there. To get into millcreek you have to either rappel or climb down this chain ladder, it is actually really quit spooky and this is our section on our blog where we talk about extreme parenting. Or should I say Chad's extreme parenting and Kelli's extreme praying. The pictures don't do the ladder or the exposure justice, but take a look anyway, Millcreek is one of the most beautiful climbing places I have ever been to!

Kayaking Causey

We loaded up the troops and headed out in search of the red salmon up causey. The bros loved riding in the kayak and tanner took a header into the water about fifty feet into the trip. We had to turn around to get him some dry clothes and a little sense, but other than that it was good to know that his life jacket really worked.

I have heard that a lot of bloggers can make money off their blog by advertising on their blog. I thought that I would try this out, especially in such scary and tough economic times. I would like to Advertise a window washing service........I have used him in that past and I have found that my windows had that extra "sparkle" that we are all looking for in our windows. He is fast and dependable....especially if you have food. Email me if you are interested in this advertisment and I can push your order through (he runs his business kind of like a piramid scheme). Thanks for checking this ad out with your help, I could possibly have a check in the mail right now!

High fashion

Now who wouldn't love to take this sweet little animal home with them?? While on our trip to jackson, the coonskin caps were a big hit with the Bros. CHad is starting to think that the oakley sunglasses that I bought in Hong Kong are not real. I keep telling him he is nuts...of course they are real, just look at the great quality...I mean who would believe that these are fakes?? Chad thinks that because they say "Oakey" on them that could be a read flag that we wasted our four dollars. I told him that is probably how you say Oakley in Hong Kongese. Although I am starting to have my doubts about the coonskin cap, I am really starting to wonder if it might be a fake. It says made in china on the tag, and it didn't come with a dust bag does that mean it is a fake. IS ANY ONE OUT THERE AN EXPERT ON COONSKIN CAPS??? If so I would love to get your opinion......and are racoons really from china?

CAsEy JOnes

WEll, after the mud nome left Casey Jones graced us w/ his presence, right before he made a break for it for freedom. We do believe in freedom of expression at our house and our children have a way of taking it literally......Chad and I are both really proud that in this picture Casey Jones is wearing a diaper. Casey has many names that he responds to, or should I say more often than not doesn't respond to. These names include Casey Jones, Tanner Man, T.J, Baby, Chubber Anne, Bubba Boy, Bubber Anne and The Destroyer (the last one is used the most because it is true to form). I love that in this picture he dressed himself head to toe even down to the mismatched shoes. He was sure he was on his way to school, or to do some other really important and pressing business such as breaking his record of how many c.d's he can jam into the c.d player or, how to figure out how to flush a diaper down the toilet, rearranging the flour......it is a lot easier to find when it is outside of the canister, etc. etc. The life of a two can be so busy and Casey Jones' work is never done.

Look what the cat dragged in

Look What showed up on the back porch!! We are not sure where he came from or what his name is, but if any of you can identify this little mud nome, please contact Chad or Kelli.

This past Labor Day we took the boys to Jackson's Hole (Zach's name for Jackson hole) and Yellystone. It was such a great t]rip!! On friday night we camped @ wolf creek in Alpine canyon. It was a great spot right next to a wild blueberry bush -Tanner's favorite snack. On Saturday Chad and the boys ran the river, we then camped in Gros Ventre, we had some "do not approach the wildlife" moments w/ buffalo. Sunday we spent the day tracking bear and hotpots!! The bros' loved yellowstone they thougth it was the coolest place on the planet.......next to maui. How fun it was to see the park through the eyes of a child................or should say...four childs!!!
