Merry Christmas!!

Happy, happy, Christmas that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall the old man to his pleasures of youth, and transport the traveller back to his fireside and quiet home.

Yesterday at church Taylor faked a "bathroom emergency" I could see the distress on his face that it was real. Being the kind, thoughtful, mother that I am, I allowed him to leave the meeting to go use the restroom. It was about a minute later that the primary children were called onto the stage to sing. I hate it when your own child out smarts you. Although I have to admit that they way he pulled it off was sheer genius.

This morning the soft snow is clinging to the fence posts, dripping from the branches of trees and has covered all the imperfections that comes with an unfinished yard. I am trying to remember where I saw that lone soccer ball, that now will be recovered in the spring. It is beautiful. The beauty of Eden in June, can only be outdone by the beauty of Eden when it is covered in a fresh, billowy blanket of newly fallen snow. Outside the windows, a magical land of white unfolds and small snowflakes are dropping from the low lying clouds. Soon there will be snow clothes that will need to be gathered. Hats and mittens will be fought over, and socks will not matter in the rush of four boys getting out to frolic in the morning snow. And that will all be wonderful................but, for now.........just for now.....as I lie here looking out the window all there is...........is Peace. And the evidence that God is real.

B BAY

I have been clearing out my garage.......cleaning out my basement......for none other than the sale of the Year!!! This Saturday, at bay "B".......I am participating in a giant consignment sale. I will be selling off a lot of my home decor items that I use for my home staging. I have been at Bbay (that is what I call it) "FOOFING" all afternoon. Lots of name brand home goods at killer prices. And lots of gently recycled furniture. I am Recycling the love!!! I am also going to be selling off a lot of great jewelry. Hot chocolate for the kids, a Christmas tree lighting and Santa will all be there at OLD town EDEN square. Hope to see you there.....even those who live out of state...that is not a probable excuse for not showing up................ha!ha! just kidding!

The store opens at 4:00 PM, but if you want to come early, I will be there earlier. It closes at 9:00.

B bay is located behind Carlos and Harley's, in the middle suit labeled "B." If you need directions leave a comment and I will send you some.

CODE RED

Late Sunday night my mom brought the kids over some chocolate advent calendars for the countdown to Christmas. At approximately 7:00 am the following morning this is what Tanner's advent calendar looked like.

Not a speck of chocolate left. Every door was opened and every little chocolate devoured in the early hours while the rest of his family was asleep. Since then all advent calendars in our home have been under a constant threat of attack. We are CODE RED over here people, I repeat........ CODE RED. Tonight, as I was getting ready for sleep, I heard Tanner screaming for help in the kitchen.....KITCHEN? I thought he was in his room. I ran to the kitchen and found a chocolate faced Nanner dangling from the top of the fridge. Needless to say, a much distraught Taylor lost a chocolate sled, a chocolate drum......and I believe a chocolate house. Like I said......CODE RED people. CODE RED.
