Don't DRINK and decorate!!

I had this brilliant idea to pull out the Christmas tree and get a jump start on the Holiday.......oh did I mention I had this idea LAST week?? Anyway, my tree and Christmas junk is strewn all through the house...........a.......well............along w/ the Halloween decorations that never made it to the basement. Right now we are suffering from holiday confusion, Chad is starting to question my mental stability and to tell you the truth right now my best defense is that... well... how do I tread lightly w/out offending? Well, basically my best defense is that I was drunk when I decided to deck the halls. Chad is not buying it because he says that it is impossible to get drunk on 7-up.............. you just think it is 7-up I say to myself. Anyway where do the pilgrims fit into the grand scheme of things? I have already been given the guilt trip by an eight-year old. My niece Alex brought this up and she pretty much gave me the twenty question ringer on why I was skipping Thanksgiving. I got kind of defensive as I was hanging off a ten foot ladder (I guess it was from the 7-up circulating in my system), and I said to her, "all the pilgrims did was discover America.............I mean what is so cool about that?? Santa can squeeze his big fat belly down a chimney.......now that is cool!" But, my ansectors I am convinced are plotting against me and are trying to foil my plan. (Captain James Carver was only the captain of that one ship what was it called the May....the Mayflower??) To appease them I will post on Capt. James Carver and what a stud he was . Needless to say my idea of getting a jump start has backfired....BIG TIME!!! I am totally overwelmed I don't even know where to start to get my house back to the shiny, celestial, peaceful home that it is on a day to day basis (Ha!).......... But, the bros and I made some killer chocolate chip cookies today to take to the neighbors..............but, well they tasted so good that we just kept on eating.......and eating...........and eating (sorry neighbors)!! Nothing like a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies made with little hands to melt away all the stress of a messy house. I have kicked the 7-up habit and replaced it with a glass of cold milk -I have found that to be sufficient for the moment. But I will keep you posted on the tree, Thanksgiving, my waistline and trying to stay sober while decking the halls.........maybe I will wait until tomorrow to tell Chad that he needs to get the twinkle lights hung on the roof before it snows.......could someone please get me another round of cold milk?

Fashion and comfort

O.k so every one is talking about the dangers of blogging. One of the news station here in Utah did a little reporting on the subject. I would like to illustrate how we (Booths) were one step ahead of the news. (I am going to post the 2nd picture of the 2nd folder). I want to make a couple of points w/ this picture:

First, this picture illustrates how tight knit Chad and I are w/ famous people. The guy in the garbage bag is famous.

Second, notice the garbage bag.... this is the same style, that Chad wore before the St. George Marathon.......He had to arrive hours early to get this exact make and model. If you need some fashion advice about how to wear your next garbage bag........look to us we know the secrets on how to pull off this look and what shape to wear for your figure.

Third, know that before the news station did the piece on the dangers of blogging......we were way ahead of the game. Notice how we took the picture to keep the identity of this famous person private...........(way ahead of the game just like i said). Therefore, for all of you who are concerned about this matter.....be of good cheer, we are watching your back.................literally!

Grandma Irene

Well, tomorrow Grandma Irene a.k.a Grandma Hunter turns 91!!! Yep that's right the old grey mare is still what she used to be. I just have to pay homage to this great lady who has had such a fun influence on my life and the life of my family's. Happy Birthday Grandma, we love you!!! Here are some fun facts about grandma Hunter:

  • She once dated Joe Demaggio...(the story has gotten a lot better w/ age)

  • Back in the day, she was a switchboard operator for the phone company. She knew everything going on in Ogden, as Irene and her friends at the phone company would "freely" tap into the phone conversations of politicians and hookers alike.

  • She was a Grand Marshall for the Ogden Rodeo Days.

  • She is the only person who can bypass a very long restroom line (by going in through the exit) and get away w/ it. I have seen this strategy played out several times at the orange county swap meet, and disneyland. Sometimes I have seen her enter the men's restroom, that strategy works as well.

  • She loves to eat doughnuts, and refer to them as a roll. (I think mentally this helps to keep the calorie count down).

  • She is a huge economic boost to Ogden, she alone can keep a good ross store in business for years. Not to mention.....now what is the name of the store that Jamie likes???.....You know the one w/ the red sign...T.J something.

  • She takes a lot of joy in seeing me eat. She always says, "boy Kelli, it is nice to see you eat. I haven't seen you eat like that for a long time." The funny part is she sees me eat the same amount everytime I'm w/ her and she always says that.

  • Her mother only weighed ninety pounds. She was a petite little thing. When she died the mortician told her that her mother had one of the nicest bodies that he had ever seen. (She loves to tell this story)

  • She is the only person that can confuse the word condominium w/ the word condom. Needless to say, she had a friend stay down in florida in one of the biggest condoms on the beach!

  • She is also the only living breathing person who can function, w/ a hole in her heart, "no vertabrets", a missing spleem, a broken back, diverticulitus, and lots and lots of scar tissue...............not to mention all that is going on "down there."

SURFER BOY

Well the Booth family's motto is SURF OR DIE (please refer to the bottom of the page). Chad, A.k.a. Sufer Boy took this motto to heart and spent the first half of the week surfing in San diego........(or if you are from the HAUN family Sand Iego). The guys that he went w/ were pretty hard core surfers. They were in the water before sun up and they were in the ocean at sun down. The boys I stayed w/ at home, were hard core as well the bubba boy was into trouble before sun up and he seemed to still be finding at sundown..........life's a beach! Here are some fun pictures of Chad surfing.
