Last Friday night, Tanner and I sat on the front steps of our house eating snowcones for dinner. Just the two of us. Chad and the older boys were away off galavanting down the snake river and touring around Jackson Hole. Tanner and I opted to stay home to eat snowcones. He had a peach and Tiger's Blood one and I had a straight up Tiger's blood. We just sat and ate and talked about fishing, flying and ants. All important subjects if you are three years old. I sat there listening to him educate me on the art of ants, (for the record Nanner accidentally killed a grasshopper, and a worm that day.....trying to care for them) I studied his little sunburned nose, with its' large brown freckles and his flushed cheeks. His lack of hair cut this summer and lack of showers added to his credibility and gave weight to his knowledge of Ant life. I took it all in and found myself convinced that he knew what he was talking about.
