Kelli 1.....2...or.......3?

So,I had my feet zoned about two weeks ago.......and if you have never had your feet zoned let me tell you it is amazing!! I pictured it to be like a foot massage, which it might be for people with normal feet, but for my feet it is quite painful, and a much needed necessity. The up side is the days and couple weeks after a foot zoning I feel awesome!! They say it is like pushing a reset button on the different systems and organs on your body. If you have never done it, I can hook you up with my Magic worker Lisa. It has done wonders for my neuropathy and one time I went and I had a sore back and I kid you not, the next day I woke up and the kink in my back was gone!
They also can tell you what emotions and such you struggle with........It is really quite amazing. I thought one emotion that I struggled with was turrets syndrome, I was surprised when she didn't tell me that. But, I did find out, we think (if the calculations were right) one of my fears was a fear of multiple personality disorder. At first I was kind of laughing about it, but the more I thought about it the more I worried if I had the potential to have multiple personalities..........kind of like when I am swearing in my head during church. Then, I am riding home from Hawaii on the plane when the flight attendant walked up and down the aisles looking for someone who was a doctor (someone in first class was ill). And then I had this weird urge to raise my hand and say, "what is the problem MAM?......................I am not a doctor, but I can play one (I have seen ER before and Grey's Anatomy)." How weird is that? It really was hard for me to keep my hand down especially knowing whoever did it was getting bumped to first class. And then I realized......that might be a symptom of multiple personality disorder.........and that really freaked me out. So, if you ever need a doctor, lawyer, police woman, dentist, race car driver, hair cutter (I do LOVE to try and cut hair), or a seamstress and I say I will take care of it.............you shouldn't believe me. I am not professionally trained in any of these areas....it is just one of my multiple personalities doing the talking.

P.S but on a serious note if you are interested in getting your feet Zoned Lisa is awesome!!!

Maui 2010

We rest here while we can.......

Photobucket

But we hear...........

Photobucket

The ocean calling,

Photobucket

In our dreams.

Photobucket

And we know by morning.........

Photobucket

The wind will ...........

Photobucket

Fill our sails.......

Photobucket

To test the seams.

Photobucket

The calm is on the water,

Photobucket

And part of us would linger,

Photobucket

Here..............

Photobucket

By the shore,

Photobucket

For ships are safe,

Photobucket

In the harbor,

Photobucket

But, that is not

Photobucket

What ships........

Photobucket

Are for. (-Micheal Lille)

Photobucket

And so we.......

Photobucket

Launch our vessels..........

Photobucket

Into the sea.......

Photobucket

and test our sails,

Photobucket

Against the waves and wind.................

Photobucket

And we discover who....................

Photobucket

And what...........

Photobucket

We were always meant........

Photobucket

To have been. (-Kelli Booth)

In a strange twist of fate, we once again found ourselves breathing in the salty sea air and sinking our toes beneath the sandy shores of Hawaii. The place grows on you and has a spell on us like nowhere else we have been. Maui held our heaven this time, along with the sun, the sand, the whales, the turtles, and the magic of the Pacific Ocean.

F.Y.I

In my efforts to educate America I thought I would share the bits of wisdom that I learned this past week.

1. Plan for the worst.........expect the best.

I learned this from Zach who packed his snow boots in his carry on bag to Maui, Hawaii.

2. It is NOT a good idea to pack a Knife in your carry-on luggage. If you have a knife in your carry on bag...........and even if you are five...........they will interrogate you in the security check at the airport. Yes....officially I think the Booth Family has been profiled as "potential" threat. Thus, I learned that parents need to re-check their child's carry-on bag to check for knives. This is a great time saver, because you can bypass the interrogation booth at the security check point at the airport. And that time saver will give you enough time to run back to the car to drop off the snow boots instead of hauling them all the way to Hawaii.

3. If you buy a four dollar blue rash guard shirt at wal-mart, the blue will bleed onto your child's skin and your child will appear to not be receiving enough oxygen. Best to splurge on the $7.99 ones at Old Navy.

I am passing this information on free of charge. Feel free to take these bits of wisdom and use them throughout your day. I have many more, stored up in that large brain of mine, but I am going to save them for another day, because this little surfer girl is going to bed.

Haiti

Well, I have been wanting to post about my thoughts on Haiti for some time, but have failed to find the time to put print to my thoughts. I am writing this post from Wailea, Hawaii. The sun is setting over the ocean, gold and orange in all its brilliance and with its' setting it brings to a close the ending to a magical day in a magical place. Chad has taken the two oldest boys to dinner while I sit with the two younger ones on the verge of sleep. The stark contrast from the beauty that is before me and the images that are flashing across CNN from the TV in our room is mind boggling. The images on the TV are gut wrenching and a far cry from the image of swaying palm trees and tropical breezes. We all ask the same questions. Why does death sweep over a country whose very existence is more fragile than a grenade. Why do all those children have to suffer. Why does that mother have to feel the loss of four children? Why do some nations of this world seem to never get a break? I for one find peace in turning these questions over to God to sort them out, to hold the answers. It gives me hope to know that He watches over all, and knows the name of every child, the feathers of every bird. And in that I find peace that all will be. And so as the sun sets on the opposite side of the western hemisphere, I know that God is, and I say a prayer for those who live on the other end of the hemisphere, on another island, in a place called Haiti.
